Culinary teambuilding: 9 advices for conducting

This rule does not apply to mass master classes (cooking borsch, plov, banosh, etc.), where the number of participants can reach to hundred.

Moderators of groups in the master class, as a rule, cooks-professionals of their work and their vocation is the ability to tasty and masterfully prepare food, but not be speakers and presenter. Therefore, we recommend that you always involve a moderator in the overall process in the case of team building.
✔️The famous chef
You can invite the eminent chef of a certain restaurant, the winner of the competition, thereby increasing the value of the master class. However, remember our advice number 2 and do not find yourself in captivity of exaggerated expectations, ask for recommendations.

There are 2 formats for holding a culinary event - master class and team building. The master class is the preparation of new dishes together "for the soul", everyone learns the recipe for cooking and the participants simply enjoy the process. Teambuilding is a competitive event, when all participants can be divided into teams, choose a jury, evaluation criteria (speed and coordination in preparation, creative, title, design, etc.) and in the final reward the winning team.
✔️If each team prepares the same dishes - the competitive effect is brighter
If you choose the collective format of team building - you want to try several variants of dishes (kitchens of the world) for different teams, then the competitive effect can be leveled. Therefore, choose a single format (for example, everyone cooks a barbecue or yushka) for all teams.

All the master classes related to the dough are better to be postponed for the autumn-winter period, the dough loves the coolness or room temperature.
✔️Recommend the format "all inclusive" for the masterclass / team building
Imagine that guests who come to the master class / teambuilding are hungry and begin to cook, which is not always comfortable. It is better to order a coffee break or a small welcome-menu and work. And further, as the food is ready, it is possible to supplement the joint gastronomic pleasure with a special menu for a full meal (for example, a buffet table).

Perhaps this thought will seem simple to you, however, its omission may lead to unforeseen consequences. Since this is also a mass preparation of food, all guests should wash their hands thoroughly, put on disposable gloves, caps, aprons.
